22-year old Alice Sara Ott is the latest pianist that has come to my attention. An album of Liszt’s Etudes d’exécution transcendante was introduced in 2009, followed by an album of Chopin Waltzes this year. Ott’s technique is amazing, her tone wonderfully varied, and the raw energy that moves her performance forward seems unstoppable.
