Fun Duet!

Passacaglia!

Yitzhak Perlman has been on stage for many years, and he still gives concerts and teaches at the Perlman School in New York. Beyond the entertainment, he has given his time, energy, and assistance to countless numbers of worthy causes, particularly to orchestra Pension Funds.

In one such pension fund benefit, he and good friend, Pinchas Zukerman, gave a very memorable encore in which they performed the Passacaglia for violin and viola by Handel/Halvorson. This is one of my very favorite duets for string instruments…

Beyond the obvious, spend a few minutes experiencing the wonderful, warm, dark, chocolaty tone of Zukerman’s priceless viola!

Then just experience the good fun, fine interpretation, and great execution of this music!
