• Brahms Violin and Piano Sonatas

The three sonatas for violin and piano are some of my all-time favorites. What amazing compositions these are, which bring us lyrical sounds from a whole lot of scenes in nature.

Every major violinist has learned and performed these. On my iPod, I constantly play the Perlman/Ashkenazy version with – for me – is very satisfying and enjoyable.

Here are Vladimir Ashkenazy and Itzhak Perlman playing the complete Johannes Brahms Sonata Op.108 No. 3 in D minor.
