Entremont’s Debussy

Debussy: Piano Music

Pianist Philippe Entremont is now 78 years old; as such, we do not hear all that much of his performances any more. There is a signed photo of Mr. Entremont hanging on the wall in my office, and the photo shows him together with Leonard Bernstein. While the photo is inscribed, it is not dated; yet Mr. Entremont looks like he’s in his late 20’s… Time passes…

Sony has given us this CD of Mr. Entremont performing several Debussy masterpieces. They are as listed below:

Debussy:

  • Arabesque No. 1
  • Arabesque No. 2
  • Children’s Corner
  • Images pour piano – Books 1 & 2
  • Pour le piano
  • Préludes – Book 2: No. 12, Feux d’artifice
  • Clair de Lune
