Boris Bloch

I am just getting familiar with Russian pianist, Boris Bloch. I like what I hear. He seems to be an excellent pianist from the famous “Russian School”.

On this CD, he gives us the music of Chopin; fortunately there are selections besides Mazurkas. For me, an entire CD of nothing but Mazurkas gets a bit old… Below are some videos of Mr. Bloch performing Schubert and Bach. Scroll to the bottom and please give me your own opinion of his playing.

Selections on this CD are:

Chopin: Piano Works Vol. 3

Chopin:

Mazurka No. 11 in E minor, Op. 17 No. 2
Mazurka No. 12 in A flat major, Op.17 No.3
Mazurka No. 13 in A minor, Op. 17 No. 4
