Modern Giovanni

I never tire of the music of Mozart, as long as it is performed with appropriate respect to the original music, and no major modifications are made.

On this recording we get a film of Don Giovanni, with names and costumes moved to the current era, opposed to the late 1700’s. There are some weird scenes, such as an Aria sung by the leading Tenor while he’s taking a shower. Naked man in the shower; might be exciting for some of you? Judge all this for yourself:
