Martha Argerich and Gabriele Baldocci:

On this CD, the international pianist Martha Argerich performs music for two pianos with Gabriele Baldocci.

This release was recorded live at a charity concert in Baldocci’s home town of Livorno.

We hear the following selections:

Milhaud:

Mozart:

  • Sonata for 2 pianos in D major, K448

Rachmaninov:

  • Suite No. 1 for Two Pianos, Op. 5

Ravel:

  • La Valse (for 2 pianos)

While searching to bring you suitable videos to illustrate this recording, I came across chamber music by Robert Schumann, and I decided to show you how a group of five world-class musicians is able to create a wonderful experience for us.
