  • Piano Concertos Nos. 2 and 4.

The new CD titled “The Beethoven Journey: Piano Concertos Nos. 2 & 4” is timed to coincide with Leif Ove Andsnes’ upcoming all-Beethoven solo recital tour highlighted by an appearance at New York City’s Carnegie Hall in March. Andsnes will continue his Beethoven journey with the release of Piano Concerto No. 5 and the Choral Fantasy in 2015.

On this CD, I look forward to enjoy the following:

Beethoven:

  • Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 19
  • Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58

Performed by Leif Ove Andsnes (piano), with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra

The celebrated Norwegian pianist continues his journey in collaboration with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, dedicated to Beethoven´s five piano concertos. The recording series began with the live recording of the Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 3 at Prague Spring Festival.

Mr. Andsnes is not only playing the piano but also directing the orchestra.
