Schubert and Janacek:
- String Quartets.
On this CD, we get to listen to the string quartet called ‘Quatuor Debussy’ as they perform two of the finest works of the chamber music repertoire: Schubert’s ‘Death and the Maiden’ quartet, and the so-called ‘Kreutzer Sonata’ quartet by Janacek.
One of the critics responded with the following: “With its dazzling technique and perfect mastery, the Quatuor Debussy produced an intensity and a moving fervor. The interpretation reached an unsurpassed quality.”
