Great Event Tonight.

Great concert Wednesday:

For those of my friends who are close to Manhattan, I have a great event for you:

This week, Mr. Perlman returns to Avery Fisher Hall in New York City with his longtime accompanist, Rohan De Silva.

In August 2015, violinist Yitzhak Perlman will be 70 years old. Yes, I know you may remember his appearance on the Ed Sullivan Television show in 1958. And if you have no idea about that show, then you are fortunate to be still quite young today!

Concert Date:

  • Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:30 PM.

Program:

The program features works by Vivaldi and Schumann, along with sonatas by Beethoven (No. 7 in C Minor) and also the Ravel sonata, plus selections to be announced from the stage.

For tickets:

  • Call: 212-721-6500

Here’s a video of a Live performance of Fritz Kreisler‘s ‘Sicilienne & Rigaudon’, as played by Mr. Perlman:

And here’s the ‘Adagio’ from the Violin Sonata No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 108″ by Brahms, as performed by Yitzhak Perlman, violin, and Daniel Barenboim, piano:

Amazingly beautiful playing!
