Beethoven’s Symphonies.

Ludwig van Beethoven:

  • Symphonies Nos. 1-9 (complete)

The Beethoven symphonies: all nine of them amazing masterworks, all nine have been performed countless times.

Still, there are conductors who can recreate these symphonies in such a way that they sound completely new, as Iván Fischer proved in his Beethoven Series with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

This DVD is one amazing journey of discovery through a familiar landscape.

The music is performed by Myrto Papatanasiu (soprano), Bernarda Fink (mezzo-soprano), Burkhard Fritz (tenor) & Gerald Finley (baritone), with the Netherlands Radio Choir and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Iván Fischer conducting.

Here is the Beethoven Symphony No. 7, as performed by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra with Iván Fischer conducting:

And next, here is an excerpt from the wonderful Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 under the baton of conductor Iván Fischer.
