It came to me early this morning that a fitting tribute to the memory of conductor Pierre Boulez is the music from Gustav Mahler’s Symphony number 5.
The sad Adagietto movement from this masterpiece begins at about the 41:00 time mark on the following video conducted by Maestro Boulez. May he rest in peace.
