I connected with Ms. Merdinger via the magic on the Internet, and I had the pleasure to discover her music making with her own friends.
On her new recording we get to hear a broad range of music spanning the works of Mozart and Schumann, all the way to music by Gershwin and by Chicago – based composer, Ilya Levinson.
The work by Ernest Bloch is his “Suite Hebraique”, and this CD also features the World Premiere recording of “Elegy: Crossing the Bridge”(2011) by Chicago-based composer, Ilya Levinson.
