Armida Plays Beethoven and Shostakovich

Ludwig van Beethoven died in 1827 in Vienna. Dmitri Shostakovich died in 1975 in Moscow. As such, their deaths are separated by almost 150 years.

The Armida Quartet members saw some sort of association between these two composers, so they gave us two of their works on a brand new recording.
