While I lived in Brooklyn as a young person, I ultimately moved to Minnesota and later to California. But I returned to NYC several times, mainly to “overdose” on music.
I remember hearing Martha Argerich once at Carnegie Hall. Wow! That was an event for me. She played the Ravel G-Major piano concerto, and I was thrillled. Since then I have heard her of CD’s and DVD’s but never again live… Here is an image of this amazing woman who has brought me so much joy!
It is interesting for me to see the image of a musician that I admire so much, as a younger person. Makes me wonder what she was like when she was just at the start of her meteoric career…
