Jeanne Lamon.

Jeanne Lamon, Baroque Virtuoso.

  • A Limited Edition Commemorative CD.

Performed by Jeanne Lamon, violin.

As Music Director of ‘Tafelmusik’ since 1981, Jeanne Lamon has been loved by audiences, and praised by critics in Europe and North America for her virtuosity as a violinist and for her strong musical leadership.

Under Ms. Lamon’s direction, Tafelmusik achieved international stature with over 80 recordings to its name, and with tours to over 350 international cities including invitations to the most prestigious concert halls and festivals in the world.

Including beloved works such as “Summer” from The Four Seasons, the Bach Concerto in D – minor for two violins and a diverse selection of baroque repertoire, this Special Edition CD was selected by Jeanne Lamon, and features her in virtuoso violin concertos from 1991 to 2011.

And Jeanne Lamon said the following about this CD:

“What would a virtuoso violin CD be without one of Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons? For me, “Summer” has always been the one I most enjoy playing. It’s stormy, full of nature effects and … well, it reminds me of my favorite time of year! The Bach Concerto for two violins has always been my favorite piece of music, my desert island choice. It would be unthinkable not to include it in this CD of my favorites. The fact that this recording is funding our young artist training programs is incredibly moving to me,”
