DiDonato at Carnegie

Joyce at Carnegie!

Joyce DiDonato has been featured here before, because she’s one great singer. And now it is timely to tell you that she’s giving a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York:

JOYCE DIDONATO, MEZZO-SOPRANO
AND DAVID ZOBEL, PIANO

Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2 PM

Tickets from $15.50 – $88

This Yankee Diva (as she calls herself) is a “gilt-edged opera star” (The New York Times). Though she made her name singing Rossini, she’s also built a reputation as an interpreter of new music. On this recital, she introduces us to new songs from Jake Heggie—DiDonato starred in the New York premiere of his opera Dead Man Walking—and works by Rossini, Haydn, and Chaminade.

The Program:
Joyce DiDonato, Mezzo-Soprano
David Zobel, Piano

HAYDN Berenice, che fai, Hob. XXIVa:10
