Cal Performances arranges for an impressive set of artists to perform at  the University of California campus in Berkeley. The 2009 concert season has begun, and here are a few performances that might be of interest to you:

Alfred Brendel:
On Character in Music

Venue: Wheeler Auditorium; Fri, Oct 30, 8 pm

For 60 years Alfred Brendel has moved audiences with his ability to communicate the emotional and intellectual depths of whatever music he performs. Now retired from concert life, the legendary pianist is presenting a series of talks in which he shares his priceless artistic experiences.
