Fun for 2010 New Year!


Some time, we just have to do stuff for fun! We are going back many years, to a time when two very good friends made special music together:

Yitzhak Perlman, violin, and Pinchas Zuckerman (violinist and violist), got together to raise money for a musicians pension fund. After they had each played a piece with the orchestra, they came out to center stage together at the end of the concert, and gave the attendees a special gift: A performance of the Handel/Halvorsen Passacaglia for solo violin and viola. This is a piece filled with fun, humor, great string instrument techniques, all built on a simple musical theme and subsequent variations.
