On this new DVD you get an opportunity to see how the late conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt worked with pianist Lang Lang to prepare two piano concertos by Mozart. The title of the recording is:
“Mission Mozart”, with Lang Lang (piano), and the Wiener Philharmoniker, Nikolaus Harnoncourt conducting.
As a tribute to Nikolaus Harnoncourt this film documented the one and only recording project between these two great musicians, recorded at Vienna’s Musikverein in 2014.
The documentary shows insights into the rehearsals and preparations, as well as interviews and comments by Lang Lang and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
