Pianist Imogen Cooper continues her critically acclaimed series of Mozart concerti, directing the Northern Sinfonia from the keyboard.

Pianist Imogen Cooper has seen her highly regarded career take off lately, due to her recordings of Schubert’s solo piano works and of the Mozart Piano Concerti. Most recently Ms. Cooper’s Schubert series has appeared in the Top 10 of the Specialist Classical Chart, and has been hailed by the international media, from the BBC to National Public Radio, and Gramophone to The New York Times.

This release is Cooper’s third of the Mozart concerti, where she is directing the Northern Sinfonia from the keyboard. The synergy between soloist and orchestra is clearly apparent, and it results in a fine reading of these masterpieces. She has very nice phrasing, excellent balance with the orchestra, and an excellent presentation of this timeless music.
