Approaching Debussy’s Anniversary

In a few months we will be recalling the genius that gave us so many masterpieces by Claude Debussy. A new recording anticipates this time:

The title of this new recording is “Debussy: Sonatas & Trios”

The performing artists are:Emmanuel Pahud (flute), Renaud Capuçon (violin) and Bertrand Chamayou (piano), Edgar Moreau (cello) and Bertrand Chamayou (piano), Gerard Caussé (viola) and Marie-Pierre Langlamet (harp), Renaud Capuçon (violin)

Debussy’s chamber music selections here are excellent. All the performances are superb: this is a new generation of devastating Francophone instrumentalists. — Sunday Times, 29th October 2017

And the Guardian wrote the following:

“… yet there’s nothing precious about these wonderfully responsive, all-French performances…Some might prefer these sonatas in slightly less fulsome performances, but the sense of authority that runs through the whole disc is hard to resist.”
