Glenn Gould Plays Bach’s Goldberg Variations

On this amazing recording, we hear Canadian pianist Glenn Gould (1932-1982) who became one of the best-known and most celebrated classical pianists of the 20th century.

He was particularly renowned as an interpreter of the keyboard music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Gould’s playing was distinguished by his remarkable technical proficiency and his capacity to articulate the polyphonic texture of Bach’s music.

This recording presents Gould’s complete original, and iconic, 1955 rendition of Bach’s Goldberg Variations on audiophile 180-gram vinyl.
