The Sonata Op 110 by Ludwig van Beethoven was composed in 1821. This sonata is one of my great favorites, likely because it has wonderful soothing qualities.
Mr. Sokolov performs it at a slower tempo than most other pianists, as though to give it the additional reverence that it deserves.
