The “Lacrimosa” from Mozart’s Requiem

In Latin, the word “Lacrimosa” translates to “Tearful” in English.

The last composition by W. A. Mozart was left incomplete when the composer died in 1791. One of Mozart’s students used the composer’s sketches to complete the “Requiem”. It was performed in 1991 in Vienna at the 200th anniversary of Mozart’s death.

For me, one of the most sublime sections of the Requiem is the Lacrimosa, which I bring to you today for your own tearful enjoyment:
