Martha Argerich Plays Chopin Prelude Opus 28 #4

Chopin’s Prelude in E minor, Op. 28 No. 4 is a favorite among musicians and others.

My sense is that the key of E minor has a dark tonality. It sounds cold and lonely. It also has overtones of desolation.

when I listen to this composition, I get a feeling of gloominess and despair; yet somehow it clearly is very beautiful, as well.
